Healthwatch Gateshead would like to hear from local people about how they decide where to go when they need urgent health care, advice or treatment. This could include times when you were unwell, worried about symptoms, needed same-day help, or were unsure which service was the right one to contact.

This could include:

  • A&E (Accident & Emergency) / Emergency Department
  • Urgent Treatment Centre
  • GP Practice
  • NHS 111 online or phone service
  • Pharmacy First / community pharmacy
  • Out-of-hours GP services (GatDoc)

We want to understand what influenced your choice, whether you knew about other urgent care options, and what could make it clearer and easier to know where to go in future. 

Your feedback will help us local experiences and make recommendations to improve access to urgent care services across Gateshead.
